GGSVM ANNUAL SPORTS MEET (2016-17)

The three days Annual Sports Meet of G.G.S.V.M Ratwara Sahib initiated with lightening of the Sports flame , a well synchronized March Past and releasing the balloons of love, friendship and harmony by the Respective Chairman and also the Chief guest of the event Shri Baba Lakhbir Singh ji.

Then the Principal of the school Mrs. Ritu Oberoi encouraged all the participants to exhibit their Talent , Sportsmanship and Efficiency in respective games through her motivational speech. She also emphasised the need of Physical activities to keep ourselves fit, healthy and stout in this competitive and advanced world.

Then the students of III-XII classes displayed their latent talent, incessant practice and true sportsmanship in their respective games. The spirit of true sportsmanship, spirit to excel the other competitors and be winners could be seen clearly on their faces.

The Annual Sports Meet 2016-17 came to an end with a vote of thanks and prize distribution ceremony by the renowned Shri Baba Lakhbir Singh Ji. The honourable Chairman and the guest of honour appreciated the hard work , dedication and the guidance of the teachers to train the participants and to inculcate the habit of practicing outdoor activities, developing stamina and effective time management too. He also stressed on the importance of balanced diet, mastery of skills to win a particular game and persistent practice to pursue a career in a particular game. The Annual Sports Meet bade an adieu with the singing of National Anthem and left an unforgettable imprint on the participants and spectators alike.
